About US
14 Mule Farm consists of approximately 300 acres and is the family venture of Gordon Farms, Inc., a South Carolina Corporation owned by John F. Floyd. The property has been the Floyd family farm since 1870 and has long been a popular gathering place for social events in the Spartanburg Community. After a year or so of careful planning, we started construction in 2005 and recently completed the installation of all major infrastructure.
Our unique name goes back to when Andrew Gordon Floyd made his original purchase. The deed simply identifies a tract of land along Peters Creek approximately 4 miles northeast of Spartanburg. Mr. Floyd didn't know how many acres he owned, but he did know it took 14 mules to farm it.
14 Mule Farm is a gated community of privately constructed estate homes and equestrian farms. Only 26 exclusive home-sites have been carefully planned on nearly 300 acres of pristine property. We market strictly to individual families seeking a quiet and private location to construct their dream home.
In these challenging economic times, we believe it practical to assure our potential buyers that 14 Mule Farm is debt free.
