Equestrian

The training arena has been built and covered with a mixed rock-dust/sand combination. This makes a firm base that drains well and rides well. Our arena was built to compare in size with the main arena at FENCE and was engineered and graded with a slight pitch from the center to maximize drainage and minimize down time as a result of heavy rain. Another feature is oval ends. These make for a nice lead change coming off the end jumps.

Black four board fencing on 4 x 6 posts is now in place throughout much of the equestrian portion of the community. This represents the standard board fencing for all pastures.

Custom built competition jumps and a center jump have been constructed. Approximately 4 miles of walking and riding trails have now been roughed in. Additional grooming and adding base materials will be ongoing throughout the fall and winter.  The trails are both scenic and challenging as they meander through the hardwood forests along pristine creeks and beaver ponds.

We recently completed the acquisition of three more adjoining tracts on the equestrian side of our community.  This land will allow us to build additional riding/walking trails and also give us several more acres of wildlife habitat.

Our pastures are mature and ready for grazing due to exceptional soil preparation and  a great growing season last fall.
